10-11 October preview
Division 2:
There’s a full schedule of 2nd division matches this week with FC Pattaya travelling up on Saturday to take on BSL Masters at the Arsenal Soccer School. Both teams are seeking their first win of the season after BSL Masters failed to score against a strong BU Japan in a 3-0 loss and FC Pattaya suffered a baptism of fire against Robin Hood (0-6).
The matches come thick and fast on Sunday when probably the pick of the fixtures sees BSL Youth play league toppers, Siam Celtic. The Youth had a fine opening win against the Pickled Liver but a depleted team found iPlay too hot to handle last week. iPlay opened their account with a 5-2 win and their next fixture sees them play the Robin Hood who will enter this game with some confidence after their first win.
Bangkok Storm will have another stern test against BU Japan. BST scored a couple of goals in their 4-2 defeat to the PL and will see that as a positive and a building block for improving as the season goes on. PL will play Samitivej Hospital who are looking to bounce back from 5-1 defeat to Siam Celtic.
And finally, a nod in the direction of Pickled Liver’s veteran, Lee who scored a fine goal from a well placed cross in the match against BST. Rumour has it, that’s his first goal in about a century.
Predictions (a la Mark Lawrenson)
FCP 1 – 2 BSL M
PL 3 – 1 SH
BSL Y 1 – 2 SC
BST 1 - 2 BUJ
iP 3 – 2 RH

Division 1:
Things don’t get any easier for the hard-luck GAS as they play a wounded Londoner side that would like nothing better than to forget last week’s frustration with a convincing win on Saturday. Sunbelt hasn’t found a way to replace goals from strikers lost in the offseason, and will need to find some magic in the van ride to Pattaya this week. British Club Casuals hope to extend their early season run as they face off against Bulls Head on Sunday. Cosmos needs to start putting away their opportunities in front of goal if they want to take all 3 points from Anatolia. Les Gaulois Paris Bangkok fitness regimen and organization has shown in their results, but are they ready for the new Danish strikers of the Vikings?
